Keystone Society

Keystone Society

Keystone (n) - a central stone at the summit of an arch, locking the whole together.

A keystone is the final, most important piece of an arch. Similarly, our Keystone Society members provide invaluable support to the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill.

Through planned and estate gifts Keystone Society members choose to sustain our mission of serving as a "home-away-from-home" for families whose children are receiving treatment at UNC Children's Hospital.

Naming Opportunities

Keystone Society donors who pledge a gift of at least $2,500 have the option for a naming opportunity on the Maxine Hepler Fodor Legacy Tree located in the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill's "Main House."

The Legacy Tree is dedicated in memory of Maxine Hepler Fodor who lived a life committed to the health and well-being of all people through her work as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Max was a brave breast cancer survivor, passionate sports fan, and devoted and loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who could smile and laugh easily with her quick wit and great sense of humor.

The Legacy Tree offers unique, personalized naming rights to honor loved ones. Recently we have added a majestic buck and man's best friend to the wall in recognition of our donors' planned gifts to fund the mission of the House.

Our team works with each donor to create a customized piece to honor your loved one. Each legacy piece is personalized with a 3"x 4" plaque. Other options not listed below are possible upon request.

$ 2,500 Leaf
$ 5,000 Acorn or Ladybug
$10,000 Bird or Butterfly
$15,000 Chameleon or Frog
$25,000 Owl, Fox, or Squirrel
